On Wednesday, July 31st, the Town of Hempstead is hosting its 2nd All Women’s Lifeguard Tournament. During this event, female ocean lifeguards from across Long Island will compete in many of the same events our juniors have participated in during the previous two competitions. The Jones Beach team took home the inaugural team title in 2023!

As part of the event, there will be a Run-Swim-Run (100-150-100) specifically for junior lifeguards. Last year, it consisted mainly of ToH juniors. This year, we would like to have any interested junior lifeguard come down, compete, and watch some of the top female lifeguards in the region compete.

The event begins at 10 AM with an approximate start time for the Run-Swim-Run at 11 AM. The event is free for junior lifeguards. Location: 630 Lido Blvd, Lido Beach, NY 11561 (Field with the Mushroom Pavilion).

The purpose of the Google Form is to gauge interest in how many of our juniors would like to participate in the Run-Swim-Run. There is no formal sign-up; any athlete can show up on the day of the event and compete.
