Awards Ceremony

The Jones Beach Junior Lifeguard Program has always been like a family, and Veteran Jones Beach Lifeguard Scott Riegel has been at the heart of it from the very beginning as one of its founding fathers.

Please join us as we celebrate Scott and thank him for his years of leadership, mentorship, and dedication to generations of Junior Lifeguards.

We hope you and your family will be there as we recognize his lasting impact on the Jones Beach Junior Lifeguard Program and the Jones Beach Lifeguard community.

Wednesday, July 29th - All Women’s Lifeguard Tournament

On Wednesday, July 29th, the Town of Hempstead is hosting its All Women’s Lifeguard Tournament. During this event, female ocean lifeguards from across the metropolitan area will compete in many of the same events our juniors have participated in during the previous two competitions.

The event begins at 10 AM with an approximate start time for the Run-Swim-Run at 11 AM. The event is free for junior lifeguards. Location: 630 Lido Blvd, Lido Beach, NY 11561 (Field with the Mushroom Pavilion).
